This policy explains how The One Club Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "The One Club") collects, holds, uses and discloses your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact details — name, email, phone, property address — submitted through our valuation, rentals, and buyer-interest forms.
- Property and search preferences you tell us about (suburbs, price range, timeline).
- Messages you send via our chat assistant or by email.
- Standard server logs — IP address, browser, referring page — when you visit the site.
We use Google Analytics to understand site usage in aggregate. Analytics cookies record visit patterns; they don't identify you to us by name.
2. How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry — appraisals, listing information, inspection bookings.
- Provide our real estate services, including campaign delivery and buyer/seller matching.
- Improve our website and services.
- Send you updates or marketing — only where you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to deliver the service:
- Real estate portals — REA Group (realestate.com.au) and Domain — to syndicate listings where you've engaged us to sell or rent your property.
- Email service provider — Resend, used to deliver enquiry notifications and confirmations.
- Google Analytics — anonymised site usage data.
- Service providers — conveyancers, photographers, contractors — only with your consent and only on a need-to-know basis.
- Where required by law — court orders, regulators, the Office of Fair Trading.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How long we keep it
We retain enquiry information for up to 7 years to meet our recordkeeping obligations under Queensland real estate law, and longer where required by tax or anti-money-laundering legislation. Marketing-list data is held until you unsubscribe.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information — encryption in transit, access controls on our systems, and secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information carefully.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated directly where we have your email on file.
